I’ve been living in Dubai for more than two decades now and I was introduced to Iranian cuisine maybe 5-6 years ago. I know a little late, as Dubai has been home to many authentic Iranian restaurants. Ever since I tried the rich and diverse Iranian cuisine, I’ve been a fan.
Why do I like this cuisine? The distinctive Iranian cuisine is deeply rooted in Persian history and culture. Love the fact that this cuisine emphasizes balance using sour, sweet and savory elements in harmony and with strong focus on fresh ingredients and seasonality.
Iranian food features a wide range of flavors, ingredients and cooking techniques that reflect the country’s geography, climate and historical influences from surrounding regions.
Over these few years I’ve visited many Iranian restaurants in the city and below are my 3 favorites:

1 Ariana’s Persian Kitchen by award-winning tv chef and cookbook author is a fine dining restaurant that will sweep you into a world of perfumed Persian delights where fruits, nuts and floral fragrances merge with meats, grains and vegetables, evoking the aromas of a traditional Persian home.
The restaurant is stunning with regal interior design that will make you feel like you’re in a Persian palace of ancient times. The menu offers a fresh take on Persian food, serving classics with a modern twist. Ariana’s Persian Kitchen is vegan/vegetarian-friendly and licensed too.

2 Iranish Iranian Restaurant is not just a restaurant, it is a portal into the memories and culture, a tribute to tradition, presented on a plate. Chef-owner, Amin Ebra is on a mission to breathe new life into forgotten Persian family recipes by giving them his own spin.
The restaurant is small and cozy with Iranian-inspired decor that will transport you to a dining room inside a home in Iran. Each dish tells a story of generations past, woven from the very essence of home-style Iranian fare. Iranish is a great place to discover the magic of Iranian cuisine.
