A visit to Dubai Media City is incomplete without visiting my favorite place to go in DMC – Media One Hotel, an urban lifestyle destination and a tech-forward hotel that has some of the best restaurants and bars in the city.
This time we visited their all-day-dining spot Qwerty to try the new menu. They have a new Aussie chef Candice Walker, who has crafted an absolute new and amazing menu. Don’t worry, some of their popular dishes like cheese toastie etc are still there in the menu.
Qwerty has a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Its a fab place to hangout after office hours and a great venue to relax and have a drink or meal at leisure. The outdoor seating area is a perfect place to enjoy cool weather during Dubai’s winter season.
Even the cover of their menu looks super cool just like the venue. We started with a glass of Wine to drink before delving into their food menu. As vegetarians, we were happy with the options in the menu.
Crispy Potatoes seasoned with rosemary sea salt served alongside aioli was a comforting way to start our lunch. The saffron rice Arancini was crispy and delicious.
Next we tried Saganaki, a moreish plate of crispy fried cheese served with honey, sesame and sage. It is one of the standout dishes in their menu and a must-try if you visit Qwerty.
The Cracked Freekeh Salad was fresh, wholesome, healthy, crunchy and tasty.
We have been a huge fan of their Cheese Toastie and we had to order it. A perfectly made three cheese toastie with rich buttery brioche bread and served alongside chutney was comfort food at its best. A must-try for all cheese lovers. The cheese toastie was accompanied with French fries.
Singapore Style Noodles with Asian veggies was loaded with exquisite Asian flavor and taste.
Quinoa and Couscous with roasted beetroot and pumpkin, baked eggplant, apricots, tangy labneh and fresh herbs was a unique and utterly delicious dish.
Almond Frangipane Tart with cranberry compote and pistachio ice cream was okay but not extraordinary. We ended our lunch with a cup of Cappuccino.
We absolutely loved our lunch at Qwerty, each and every dish that we tried had distinct flavor and tasted amazing. The drinks, the service and the atmosphere was on point.
