There are some restaurants you always keep going back, one such restaurant for me is Social House. Since the time it has opened, I’ve been going back again and again. And the reason for that is good food, beautiful atmosphere, great view and flawless service.
This time I visited Social House to catch up with a friend for lunch. As always the restaurant was busy even though it was a week day.
Situated in the Lower Ground Floor of The Dubai Mall, Social House is a spacious venue with ample and varied seating options. We chose to sit outdoors, which overlooks the popular Dubai Fountain and the iconic Burj Khalifa.
The interiors of Social House is cool, casual and oh-so-chic and the atmosphere is lively and energetic. Its a great spot to catch up with friends and also a good venue to share a meal with your family. They also have private dining space if you want to celebrate an occasion.
Their menu is vast and varied and it features classic dishes from the east to popular dishes from the west. Recently they’ve added few new dishes to their menu. They also have a separate breakfast menu.
We started off with a Passion Fruit based mocktail and one of their healthy juice blend Apple, Cucumber, Celery, Basil. Both the drinks were freshly made and tasted good.
As our appetizer we ordered Soho Eco Roll, a veg sushi wrapped in romaine lettuce with a filling of asparagus tempura and avocado. Not only did it look appealing, tasted incredible too. The other appetizer that we ordered is their signature Baby Spinach and Seaweed Salad. It was a seaweed salad in a ginger dressing with fried tofu. It was amazing but I wish they had added few more pieces of tofu.
For our mains we ordered three distinct dishes. The Nachos Pizza was comfort food at the best with a blend of two of my favorite cuisines- Italian and Mexican. The crisp thin pizza was loaded with nachos, guacamole, sour cream and tomato salsa. An absolute must-try.
The Chili Garlic Stir Fry had a medley of veggies in chili and garlic sauce. It was spicy and had vibrant Asian flavors. And the Quinoa Biryani in Social House is the best I’ve had in Dubai so far. And can’t recommend it enough for both biryani and quinoa lovers.
Pavlova was the dessert that we shared between us. This light meringue dessert had crisp crust and was soft from inside. The berry toppings gave it a sweet and tangy taste. We rounded it off with a pot of Rooibos and Orange Tea that is known for its health benefits.
Social House at The Dubai Mall ticks all the right boxes, no wonder I keep going back, time and again.
