7 Elephants , a brand new bar and restaurant opened in DIFC recently. I got a sneak peek of the place when I attended their grand opening. Couple of weeks ago they launched their Express Lunch and I decided to give it a try.
The story and concept behind 7 Elephants
7 stock traders from 7 parts of world shared a vision. To create a place where like-minded people could meet in the financial hearts of the world’s major cities. They named themselves after ‘elephants’- universal symbols of good fortune, and that term for large financial players who make high volume trades. 7 Elephants debuts in Dubai with great food, epic drinks and a winning attitude.
My experience at 7 Elephants
At the entrance, I was welcomed by a life-sized elephant statue, painted by a graffiti artist. The interiors of 7 Elephants is beautiful with lush green surroundings. This trendy place offers a spectacular view of the iconic Burj Khalifa.
7 Elephants has an open format ambience with various kinds of seating options like couches, dining tables, lounge area and high tables at the bar. The ceiling covered in circular light bulbs gives it a dreamy look.
Their menu features 7 different cuisines- British, Balinese, Indian, Italian, Spanish, Mexican and Middle Eastern. 7 Elephants has a vast food menu and an impressive drinks menu. Shisha enthusiasts can enjoy a great array of Shisha.
For Express Lunch, they’ve 3 kinds of set menu-The Health Kick, The Balanced Deal and The Wolf of DIFC. It also includes fresh juice and water. The set menu is reasonably priced at just AED 65.
- Kale and poached egg- marinated kale, organic quinoa, Parmesan dressing, sweet potato, cranberries, mixed seeds and two poached eggs.
- Refreshing and tangy tomato Gazpacho.
- Freshly baked bread.
- Olive tapenade
- Salted butter
- Seasonal fruit salad.
The Balanced Deal consisted of:
- Pulled chicken broth (as my friend is also a vegetarian like me, she took the Kale and poached eggs for her main course.)
- Flavorful and crunchy bean sprout salad with lemongrass dressing.
- Crudités with creamy hummus dip.
- Seasonal fruit salad.
Everything we ate was fresh and packed with great flavor and taste. The lunch set menu offered healthy food and the portion size was good. As we didn’t want poached eggs in the kale, they didn’t add it.
Overall, we had a good dining experience. And their Express Lunch is worth trying.
