Original Wings & Rings – DIFC

Original Wings & Rings,American Chain
Having been to their epic ladies night over a year ago, I was delighted to receive an invite for an evening of food and drinks at Original Wings & Rings. So last evening my friend and I set off to the cool district of DIFC in Dubai to check out Original Wings & Rings or OWR.

Located in the hip locality of DIFC, OWR is housed in the level C of the Liberty House Building. As we are very familiar with the DIFC area, we didn’t have any trouble reaching OWR. Upon entering the place, we were welcomed with the bold sign of “Eat,Drink and Talk Loudly” and we decided to do just that.

Quirky Posters
OWR is an American Sports Bar that specializes in wings and rings as it’s name suggests. You can expect most of the American favorite pub grub like fully loaded burgers, quesadillas, gyros, nachos and sandwiches.

The interiors of OWR has the typical American sports bar/diner look. It is a casual dining spot with contemporary and comfortable seating. Quirky posters, NFL flags, foosball tables, gaming consoles, plasma televisions, great music, small stage for live performance and well stocked bar enhances the complete American sports bar experience.

Jalapeno Chips
Having previously tried their thickly cut and oh-so-delicious onion rings, we thought we will give it a miss this time and try something different. So we opted for the fiery Hand Breaded Jalapeño Chips that was served with melted cheddar cheese. If you love spicy dishes, you definitely will love the Jalapeño chips.

Garden Salad
Garden Salad  is a simple salad and you can’t go wrong with that. It made a great side dish.

Veggie Quesidilla
Veggie Quesadilla was fantastic. It had large flour tortilla stuffed with a medley of veggies and three cheese mix. It was served with sour cream and salsa.

Sauces for the wings
OWR has 12 different sauce flavors to go with the wings. Whether your taste is sweet, mildly spicy, smoky or full-on heat you have a huge selection of homemade sauces to go with the wings. Our favorites were the BBQ, original, garlic Parmesan and sweet curry.

Among the vast variety of buffalo wings available at OWR, my friend had the boneless chicken one. She found it tasty, juicy and succulent. (Apologies! We were so busy talking that I forgot to take the picture)

Veggie Burger,Fries,Coleslaw
Being a vegetarian I had the Veggie Burger. All their huge burgers are served with fries and coleslaw. The veggie burger had a well done veggie patty that was seasoned to perfection and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and smothered with their special sauce.

Rockslide Brownie
We ordered Rockslide Brownie for our dessert as recommended by our server. It was a fudgy brownie, topped with pecans and drizzled with caramel sauce. We were in brownie heaven, their Rockslide Brownie is beyond amazing. A definite must-try if you visit OWR.

Pint of beer, Rose Wine
We washed it all down with a pint of Draft beer and a glass of Rose wine. Their drinks menu is elaborate with a wide range of  cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine and other spirits.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Loved the relaxed atmosphere, good food/drinks, friendly and helpful service, amazing music and energetic vibe.
