Al Dawaar Revolving Restaurant-Hyatt Regency

Al Dawaar is Dubai’s first and only revolving restaurant. This restaurant offers a stunning view of  the city, sea and the creek. This legendary restaurant is a must-visit destination for both the residents and the tourists. Al Dawaar not only offers great view, it also serves up good food.

Al Dawaar is situated in the 25th floor of Hyatt Regency, Deira. No matter where you sit, you are guaranteed to get a spectacular view. This rooftop revolving restaurant takes approximately 90 minutes to rotate on its axis.

I had the pleasure of dining at Al Dawaar during the day time. I am sure the view from Al Dawaar by night will be different and magnificent.

Al Dawaar offers an international buffet featuring dishes from European, Japanese, Middle Eastern and Asian cuisines. The spread is massive and there is something for everyone.

The restaurant is spacious with large glass windows all around it. It has modern and classy interiors. The atmosphere is inviting. Loved the table setting.

After having a refreshing glass of mocktail named Paloma Blanca, my friend and I went to check out the buffet.

Their beverage list consists of fresh juices, mocktails, cocktails, alcoholic beverages and hot beverages like tea and coffee.

We decided to start our buffet lunch with soup. I had the Indian lentil soup Dal Shorba- it was tasty and healthy. My friend liked her chicken soup too.

The Japanese Counter offered a good variety of sushi and sashimi. We liked the fact that it was freshly made.

The Salad Bar was impressive with a wide variety of salads. We tried little bit of everything. My favorites were the Greek Salad, Asparagus Salad, Potato Salad  and the Mixed Green Salad. My friend especially loved the Sesame Beef Salad and the Cold cuts.

The Middle Eastern Station  had an amazing variety of cold Mezze like Hummus, Moutabel, Mohammara, Shanklish, Beetroot Moutabel, Foul Chickpea Salad and much more. It was authentic, fresh and delicious. My friend liked the Iranian kebabs and the Moroccan Chicken Tagine.

The Asian Counter had a mix of Asian cuisines from China to India. We liked the Schezwan Noodles and the Veggie Stir Fry. We also liked Paneer Tikka, Mini Samosa and Palak Paneer from the Indian offering.

The Carving Station had various kinds of meats-from roast beef to roast chicken and steaks.

The International Counter had an eclectic variety from Pasta to Nachos and salsa.

There was an ample choice of seafood-from oysters to prawns and lobsters.

The main highlight of the buffet was the Dessert Counter. It featured all the international favorites as well as local delicacies. If I had my way I would have straightaway had the desserts first. Keep lots of space for desserts. Ricotta Cheese Tart was one of the best dessert that I’ve had in a long time. We tried a little portion of most of the desserts. Some of our favorites were Creme Brûlée, Apricot Crunchy Mousse, Panna Cotta, Umm Ali, Konafa and Chocolate Cake. There was two flavors of Ice Cream too.

We ended our meal with a hot cup of  freshly brewed Cappuccino

Overall, we had  an unforgettable dining experience. Al Dawaar is a perfect place for celebrating special occasions. They also do a Friday brunch. It offers gorgeous view, good food and  impeccable service. If you are looking for an unique and unforgettable dining experience then definitely Al Dawaar is the place.
