On 15th March 2016 Retro Feasts, the cool British diner at The Beach celebrated it’s first anniversary. I was invited with a bunch of other bloggers to be a part of the anniversary celebrations. We got to try a selection of special edition dishes which will be on the menu for the next four weeks.
Retro Feasts is located at The Beach, JBR and boasts of a gorgeous view. This little British diner has indoor and outdoor seating area. Retro Feasts is a casual diner and it is filled with vintage Brit paraphernalia-from pillar box red telephone booth to get into the restaurant to vintage posters and Union flags.
After having a round of fresh fruit juices our blind tasting commenced. I couldn’t try couple of dishes as I am a vegetarian. But I appreciate the fact that at such a short notice Chef Thomas whipped up a mini veggie burger for me.
My blogger friends had the Coronation Crab Popadom and Buttermilk Coated Chicken Slider. They were wowed by the Chicken Slider.
As for the Dessert we were served Black Forest Milkshake. It was thick in consistency, but nevertheless tasted delicious. The Black Forest Milkshake was rich, sweet, creamy, chocolatey and packed with black cherry flavor. It certainly knocked my socks off, can’t wait to go back and try this before the limited period ends.
I would love to try the other dishes on the menu. I am sure they will be as good as the specialty items created by Chef Luke Thomas.
It was an unique and amazing experience at Retro Feasts. Worth checking out the special dishes that are on offer for a limited period.
