Emirates NBD and Zomato had partnered up to provide one of a kind food trail all across a line of restaurants in Jumeriah Beach Residence. A few bloggers and I were invited to be a part of the foodie trail. We got to visit four different restaurants. Paul Bakery & Restaurant was our fourth and final stop of the foodie trail.
Paul is a French bakery and restaurant. It has many branches all over Dubai and I am one of their regulars at their Burjuman outlet. I have been to that particular outlet countless times. But I was visiting their JBR branch for the very first time. We were all looking forward to our coffee and dessert session at Paul’s.
All the Paul Bakery & Restaurant outlets have the same decor. The atmosphere is very chic. The decor of Paul’s is elegant, classy and sophisticated. It has a vibe of a Parisian cafe. The restaurant is spacious, it has indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated outside and immediately given the beverage menu.
Most of the other foodies ordered tea, but I ordered a coffee. The chamomile tea at Paul’s is my favorite. But I was craving for cappuccino. The cappuccino was perfectly brewed with right amount of espresso and foamed milk.
Next to arrive was an amazing array of desserts. Paul Bakery & Restaurant offers exquisite cakes, pastries, cookies, biscuits, macaroons and desserts.
Macaroons- I had coconut, chocolate and Pistachio flavors. My favorites were the coconut and chocolate macaroons. They were delicious- crisp from outside and chewy from inside.
Chocolate Éclair- we were served bite sized chocolate Éclair. The Éclair was filled with cream and topped with chocolate icing. It was tasty.
Strawberry Tartlet- Little tarts had a custard filling and topped with fresh strawberry.
Millefeuille Nature- Millefeuille is a classic French dessert. At Paul, they make the best Millefeuille. It has layered puff pastry with cream. A must-have at Paul.
Chocolate cake- we had two kinds of chocolate cake. Both were different and tasty in their own way.
Charlotte aux Fraises- This cake was divine, it had soft spongy cake topped with strawberries.
As if these yummy desserts were not enough; we also received a goody bag from Paul containing their Chocolate chip cookies and chocolate and cream biscuits. Yes, for the next two days I gorged on these sweet treats.
Paul Bakery & Restaurant has an elaborate menu consisting of salads, soups, sandwiches, quiche, tartines and other savory food menu. It is a great place to visit for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or for just coffee/tea and cakes.
We ended our Foodie trail on a sweet note. Oh boy, what an adventure it was. We want an Encore please!
